Local-first architecture

Core farm operations do not depend on the public internet.

HIVE stores the operational record locally and coordinates the physical site. Internet connectivity can support updates, remote assistance, and optional HIVEMIND participation, but the harvesting mission remains a farm-local system.

Fleet command

Mission plans, route allocation, charging queues, Packager dispatch, and exception handling.

Farm-owned records

Individual plant histories, fruit events, package records, environmental data, and maintenance history.

Charging infrastructure

Conductive prototype docks, dynamic return thresholds, solar-supported site energy, and charge scheduling.

HIVEMIND · optional

A shared learning layer only when the farmer participates.

Participating farms may contribute selected, governed data to improve comparative models, crop-cycle intelligence, and regional forecasting. Participation must be explicit, revocable, and visible.

HIVEMIND is not required for HIVE, the robots, or the farm’s local records to function.
